Tax Preparers and Practitioners

The Mississippi State Tax Commission uses scanning and imaging equipment to process paper tax returns. It is important that only official forms from the Commission are used to file returns. Some substitute forms generated by software providers are considered "official" forms. We are providing a list of the approved software providers below for your convenience. This list will be updated as each provider receives approval. If the forms of your software package have not been approved by the Commission, the returns will be returned to the taxpayer. Each return which is mailed back to the taxpayer for the above reason will be subject to a penalty. Before submitting returns, please verify that the software provider has been approved. Should you have any questions about the status of a specific software provider, you may contact the Mississippi State Tax Commission.
